Declaration as a Grandparent

I am an intentional Christian grandparent. With God’s help, I will:

Guide my grandchildren with wisdom, grace, and unconditional love.

Respect the God-given role of their parents, offering support and encouragement without overstepping.

Abound in my affection, making sure my grandchildren always know they are loved.

Nurture each child’s unique personality, gifts, and God-given purpose.

Deal with the challenges of distance or circumstances by staying connected through prayer, words, and meaningful moments.

Pray with passion and purpose for my grandchildren every day, asking God to direct their steps and draw them close to Him.

Adjust my attitude when needed, remaining humble, teachable, patient, and full of grace.

Restore relationships by choosing forgiveness, extending mercy, and pursuing peace whenever possible.

Excel in my example, knowing that my actions often speak louder than my words.

Number my days wisely, making every opportunity count and investing in what has eternal value.

Tell them my testimony, sharing how God has worked faithfully throughout my life.

Intentionally influence them to love God, honor others, and live lives of integrity.

Never neglect the newest generation, recognizing that they are a precious gift entrusted to us by the Lord.

Give them the Gospel, pointing them to Jesus Christ as their Savior, Lord, and everlasting hope.

By God’s grace, I will strive to leave a legacy of faith that will inspire my grandchildren, and generations to come, to walk with the Lord.
